The Year In Pictures - 7/20

The gathering crowd

I’d never bought a Harry Potter book, much less been out for the midnight festivities. I figured this was my last chance, so I ventured out with a friend to see what there was to see.

We talked to some folks in line and generally had a good time. All told, the wait was about 90 minutes, which I didn’t think was too bad, but I’m not sure I’d do it again.

It’s pretty amazing that folks would wait in line for a book. I wonder if I’ll ever see such a thing again in my lifetime.

I would so do that for the next George R. R. Martin book!
