The Year in Pictures - 6/27

So I was sitting here on my couch tonight, and all of a sudden a thunderous booming started up outside. My first thought was, “What the hell are the neighbors doing?” and then I realized it must be fireworks. I stepped outside the house and discovered that I actually had a pretty good view from the parking lot. I plan on taking some fireworks pics over the upcoming holiday anyway, so I ran back inside to grab the camera and monopod to get in some practice shots.

They were mostly blurry and overexposed, but I think the experience will come in handy for next time.

Also, in the process I took picture number 500 on the new camera. Woo.
