The Year in Pictures - 1/23

And how many have never been watched?

Another day, another photo.

I have a bad habit of buying DVDs and then not watching them, other than popping them into the player to make sure they work. I used to buy a new or used DVD almost every week and then just pop it on the shelf, telling myself I’d watch it someday. I’ve pretty gotten out of the habit, though. I’m still bad about not watching them, but I don’t buy nearly as many as I used to. I decided it was just a waste of money to buy DVDs on a whim.

Overall, I’d say the acquisition of material goods has become more and more hollow as time goes on. I still buy stuff, of course, but less of it, and the “shine” wears off a lot faster than it used to.

Of course, a glance at my Amazon Wish List would seem to be incongruous with that attitude, but what can I say, I’m a complex man :)

Oh, and you really should check out Free Enterprise.
