New header graphic

Finally got around to making a header graphic for the site. Ain’t it grand?

Maybe not. But it serves the purpose.

I also changed the default link appearance. I thought the place could use a little more color.

I think I already don’t like my new design (big surprise… and it only took a month!), but until motivation and a better idea come along, that’s what we’re going with.

In the course of creating the new header, I also discovered that the site looks terrible in Internet Explorer 6. But only in IE 6. It looks fine in the Mac and PC flavors of Firefox, as well as my beloved Safari.

So you know what? I don’t care. If you’re using IE 6 to read this, I have nothing but contempt and pity for you and your ilk. Go and find a new browser, and darken my door no longer! The power of Christ compels you!

(I guess Microsoft agrees with me since they’re apparently making you update to version 7 whether you like it or not.)
