Eureka!

Just caught the first episode of the new Sci Fi Channel series, Eureka.

I liked it quite a bit. Quirky and funny, but with enough drama and adventure to get you involved. An equally quirky, likeable cast, and a charismatic, if clichéd protagonist. I got a definite Men In Black vibe, minus the aliens, which worked just fine for me. Your mileage may vary.

I say give it a look. If nothing else, it’s different, which is something television could use a lot more of.

As a nice bonus, the commercial breaks were also sprinkled with scenes from the new season of Battlestar Galactica (inexplicably set to a Nickelback soundtrack). Still three freakin’ months away, but damn it looks good.
