I have many grammatical pet peeves, particularly when it comes to the quality (or lack thereof) of writing on the Internet, but one of the big ones is when folks get this one wrong:

The correct plural of “son of a bitch” is “sons of bitches.”

I may mangle the English language in many ways, but I can at least swear properly.

Don’t even get me started on “would of.”

*shudder*

UPDATE: I’ve heard from a few folks asking about “sons of a bitch,” implying that the sons in question are from the same mother. I’d agree with that. I thought that would have been a given, but it obviously wasn’t.

I should have just said “’son of a bitches’ is wrong” and left it at that, ’cause that’s really all I was trying to say
